Welcome to Kiakia Marketplace
Kiakia helps people discover products, pre-owned items, local services, seller videos, and marketplace listings in one place. Create a free account to message sellers, save activity to your account, and manage purchases or listings.
Always review a listing carefully and confirm the final item, price, payment, and delivery terms with the seller.
Create and manage your account
- Sign up: choose Buyer, Vendor, or Artisan, enter your details, and confirm your email.
- Sign in: use your email and password, or Google sign-in where available.
- Forgotten password: use the password-reset option on the sign-in screen and follow the email sent to you.
- Account: use the Account tab to view your profile, seller tools where available, and notifications.
Browse and buy
- Direct Market: browse active listings and use search, category, price, and location filters to narrow the results.
- Used Items: explore eligible pre-owned listings and review the item condition before contacting the seller.
- Artisans and Services: find sellers offering services such as repairs, tailoring, beauty, and other local work.
- Listing details: open a listing to view photos, video where available, price, description, seller details, and available buying options.
- Likes: tap the heart on a listing to like or unlike it. The number beside it shows the listing's current like total.
- Follow sellers: follow a seller you want to hear from again. Their new listings and announcements can then reach you more easily.
Message, bid, and checkout
- Messages: use the message option on a listing to ask questions. Your conversations remain available in Messages.
- Contact options: some sellers may also offer WhatsApp or calling. Availability varies by listing.
- Bidding: on a bid-enabled listing, choose Place a Bid, enter your offer, and check the minimum bid and deadline. The seller can accept or decline the offer.
- Cart and checkout: fixed-price listings that support checkout can be added to Cart. Enter delivery details and complete the available payment option.
- Pay on delivery: this is available only when a seller clearly offers it. Confirm all terms before committing.
Reels and announcements
- Seller reels: short vertical videos that help shoppers discover products or services. Tap a reel to open the linked listing and contact the seller.
- Brand announcements: sellers may post new-arrival updates, offers, or shop news. Open an announcement to read it in full or visit the seller storefront.
- Live shopping: use the Live shopping tab to see scheduled or active seller video sessions when available.
Start selling
After registering as a Vendor or Artisan, open Seller Workspace to create and manage your marketplace activity.
- New listing: add a clear title, accurate description, price in Naira, category, location, working contact details, and photos of the actual item or service.
- Cover photo: choose your strongest photo first. It is the image buyers are most likely to see before opening the listing.
- Used items and services: mark a second-hand item as Used or Pre-owned, or choose the appropriate service category so shoppers can find it in the right section.
- Listing status: keep a listing as Draft while editing, then submit it for review when ready. Only approved, active listings are visible to buyers.
- Video and reels: add a normal listing video or YouTube link where available. For homepage reel placement, use a clear vertical video in a 9:16 format.
- Manage listings: update prices, photos, availability, and details from My Listings. Remove or deactivate an item when it is no longer available.
Help and good marketplace practice
- Use clear, honest descriptions and photos that show the real item or service.
- Do not send payment until you understand the seller's final price, payment method, and delivery arrangement.
- Report listings or behaviour that appears fraudulent, misleading, or against marketplace rules.
- Check your notifications and Messages for updates about orders, bids, listings, and seller activity.
